Blue Angel 'First' For Seperate Waste Collection

Waste bins with the Blue Angel ecolabel from ESE World are being used by the Amstetten district in Lower Austria as all municipalities adopt the more environmentally-friendly system of separate collections of bio and residual waste.

This marks Amstetten as the first European municipality in Europe to have its entire inventory of bins replaced with the eco-friendly Blue Angel bins.

Although the waste has been collected separately by many municipalities for over 20 years, this is now being extended throughout the district, with the replacement of multi-chamber bins with separate containers from ESE. This will make the system more efficient, more environmentally-friendly, and therefore more cost-effective in the long term.

The awarding of the Blue Angel ecolabel to ESE confi rms that the containers are made from at least 80% EuCertPlast-certified recycled plastic. At the same time, the use of the recycled material does not affect the performance, quality or longevity of the containers.
